Good News — Flash Radio shares this positive update with you. Tunisia shines internationally with the election of Dr Manel Chaabane, president of FIFBCML, and Yosr Galai, deputy general secretary. These two Tunisians, both members of the Tunisian Society of Clinical Biology (STBC), succeed a long history of scientific collaboration. Founded in 2007 in Hammamet by five countries, FIFBCML now counts 17 scientific societies spread across three continents, with expansion prospects to 11 countries by 2027.
This victory highlights the key role of Tunisia, the founding country, which holds three seats in the federation’s executive bureau. It rewards years of joint work between the public sector (STBC) and private sector (STBP), positioning Tunisian medical biology as a major player in the Francophone world. This recognition fits into a context of strengthening ties between health professionals and laboratories. The event will mark the 4th National Congress of Medical Biology (CNBM 2026), organized by STBP in Hammamet in November 2026. 'Medical Biology 2030: New Forms of Practice, New Missions' The general assembly of FIFBCML, under the auspices of the federation, will welcome experts from Algeria, Morocco, France, and other countries. A cross-syndical roundtable will debate the new missions and forms of practice of medical biology in 2030.
