The interrogation of the main suspect, who allegedly confessed to committing the crime, is continuing, as well as that of an accomplice who either was informed of the events or participated in them, according to unconfirmed sources. ⏱️ 3 min read. The facts and recent developments. After twelve days of investigations, units of the judicial police brigade of Jendouba allegedly solved the mystery of the disappearance of a woman in her 40s. The victim's family reported her disappearance after she left her home and workplace, located in a neighborhood of the city of Jendouba, on October 3. The investigation led to two people suspected of being involved in the crime and who were arrested. According to the initial findings, which should be taken with caution until confirmed by the investigators, the main suspect worked in the same institution as the victim, namely the House of Culture of Jendouba. The murder was planned after the victim discovered compromising information about the main perpetrator. Fearing that his secret would be revealed, the murderer decided to lure the victim into a trap. He took her to a remote area north of Jendouba in his vehicle, brutally killed her, and then threw her body into a deep pit (6 meters according to some sources, 11 meters according to others), located in an abandoned house in the area — property of one of his close associates — before covering it with stones and earth. It also emerges from the initial findings that the suspect returned several times to the site over the following three days to add more stones and earth.
