Tunisia Honored as Guest of MTL CONNECTE 2027

Mr. Kamel Makkes, Consul of the Tunisian Republic in Montreal, participated, on behalf of the Tunisian Ambassador to Canada, in the 8th edition of the MTL CONNECTE 2026 Forum, held in Montreal from October 13 to 16, 2026. He also presided over the Tunisia Global Forum meeting, organized at the Desjardins-Montreal branch, initiated by the Tunisian-Canadian Business Network (RTCA). This event facilitated networking among Tunisian and Canadian entrepreneurs, experts, and investors, and explored new partnership opportunities in key sectors such as information technology, artificial intelligence, and scientific research. During this event, the torch was officially passed to Tunisia, designated as the guest of honor for the 2027 edition of MTL CONNECTE, as a recognition of its technological potential, the quality of its human resources, and its role within the global innovation ecosystem. The Embassy, in collaboration with the Tunisian-Canadian Business Network (RTCA) and supporting economic institutions, aims to make the 2027 edition a platform for cooperation development, project realization, and the establishment of sustainable partnerships between economic institutions, universities, and research centers in Tunisia and Canada, serving the common interest.
