Four Sectors, One Movement for Tomorrow's Mobility

From November 17 to 20, 2026, the Mobility Lab will be at the heart of SAPRI 2026, at the Kram Exhibition Park, to launch a movement of sustainable transformation. Since the publication of the National Mobility Plan in 2022, the country has invested 600 million dinars in electrified public transport projects and intelligent urban mobility networks. The energy crisis of 2023 accelerated this necessary transition, forcing the government to reduce its dependence on oil imports. The Mobility Lab embodies this commitment to reinventing mobility by combining technology, sustainability, and regional cooperation. On the Mediterranean level, the event fits into a dynamic of convergence of climate policies. As a Mediterranean country, Tunisia adopted in 2025 the Sustainable Development Strategy for Mobility, aligned with the EU's objectives. The Mobility Lab offers a platform to share experiences with countries like Greece, Turkey, and Spain, which have already implemented low-emission public transport networks. This exchange could inspire cross-border projects, such as the Tunisia-Italy railway line project, currently under negotiation. The next steps include signing partnerships between Tunisian companies and European actors, as well as presenting economic models to finance green infrastructure.
