Yassine Bouzrou: 'Mobile raciste et qualification terroriste doivent rester au cœur de l'enquête'

The death of Pengo Bossio Wangi, a Senegalese man killed in Trappes on October 23, has reignited a sensitive investigation. The family's lawyer, Yassine Bouzrou, is protesting after the release of Kevin T., who was placed under psychiatric observation. He warns of the risk of the racist motive and the terrorism charge being overlooked. 'These elements must remain at the heart of the investigation,' he insists, emphasizing the importance of not underestimating the racial and security issues at stake. The context of the case, marked by recurring tensions in France, highlights the challenges of justice in cases of racial violence. Bouzrou reminds that the terrorism charge is not just a procedure, but a key element to understanding the suspect's motivations. 'We cannot ignore the link between racism and radicalization,' he asserts, calling for a transparent and rigorous investigation. The Tunisian community, often confronted with discrimination, is closely following this case. Experts note that French justice must show it can handle these sensitive cases while avoiding stereotypes.
