FTF: Provisional Committee for Indoor Football

The Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) announced Thursday the creation of a provisional committee tasked with reviving indoor football. This measure comes after several years of decline in the sport, marked by funding and structural issues. However, indoor football, a mass sport in the Mediterranean region, represents a development lever for youth, especially in urban areas where football fields are scarce. The FTF is counting on this sector to diversify its sports offerings and strengthen Tunisian engagement. In a regional context marked by investments in indoor football (such as in Spain or Turkey), Tunisia aims to catch up. The provisional committee could inspire participatory management models and public-private partnerships, conducive to the expansion of indoor sports. Moreover, indoor football could become a local economic driver, by stimulating infrastructure construction and creating jobs. The FTF aims to position Tunisia as a major player in Mediterranean indoor football, by organizing international competitions and promoting local talents. The next steps include the publication of a strategic plan for 2025, the allocation of subsidies to clubs, and the organization of a renovated national championship. ⚡ Key points ▸ The provisional committee will have the mission to restore finances and structure the competition, prioritizing accessibility for youth. ▸ Indoor football embodies a potential for the development of the
